No One Expects The Punksburgh Inquisition: Tim Little (all the bands)

We persuaded Tim Little, currently drumming in Playoff Beard, Nightmarathons, Lansbury, The Shutouts, and probably four other bands, to come out of the shadows and answer our questions.

List the names of every band that you’ve ever played in ever.

Pyramid Scheme, Eyes to Gomorrah, Page Turner, Westboro Bastard Church, Kiamo Ko, The Complainer, Remainders, Danvers, and probably a few more I’m forgetting.

What was the artist, album, or song that inspired you to play/write music?

Black Flag

What is your favorite piece of merch that you own? (preferably not your own band)

Bouncing Souls – Pretty in Pink rip off shirt

Tell us one thing about the Pittsburgh music scene that could be better and one thing about the scene that you love.

Could be a little less separated. There’s a lot of small groups or scenes, I guess, instead of one large connected one. Kind of cliquey at times. No shortage of really great bands.

If you had to pick only one of your songs for people to listen to, which one would it be?

Remainders – “Trying Too Hard

Who would you cast in the movie of your band?

Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler

How does your mom/family react to your music? Do they come to your shows?

They don’t. It’s usually just “Oh, you’re still doing that?”

What band or artist have you seen live the most number of times?

Bouncing Souls

What’s the craziest thing that has happened to you at a show as a performer or spectator?

Probably that time a certain bandmate got so drunk that he fell backward into my drums midsong.

You can see Tim playing with the Shutouts this Saturday 7/1 with Bottle Rat at Looking For Group. In addition, expect some new music from him: Lansbury just finished their 2nd LP, Playoff Beard has their first LP coming out this fall with a Northeast tour planned, and Nightmarathons just released an EP and are doing a midwest tour in August and Fest/Pre Fest in October. Tim also runs Between the Days Records.

Other Punksburgh Inquisitions:

Rishi Bahl (Eternal Boy)
Donny Donovan (Dinosoul / Hearken)
Ray Kolcun (Crooked Cobras)
