It’s the weekend and you know what that means–a round up of events we know about that are going on. The weather is supposed to be decent, and these shows are going to be fire! Long story short–get to the gig.

~ FRIDAY 1/26 ~

Today is the Best Day Ever at Future Tenant [6pm // Future Tenant // free]

Future Tenant, in conjunction with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, is excited to present Pittsburgh based emo band Today is the Best Day Ever. Today is the Best Day Ever will be performing at Future Tenant during the Winter Gallery Crawl on January 26th performing four sets: one at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. The trio of Dillon McManus, Nick Cotter, and Evan Oslund formed Today is the Best Day Ever in the late summer of 2017 and released their first EP “Laugh More, You’re Dying” in the fall of the same year. Check them out at Future Tenant or on BandCamp, Spotify, and iTunes.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District is a free, quarterly, multi-venue showcase of downtown’s dynamic art and entertainment scene. Dozens of galleries, stages, storefronts, and unique public spaces dot each installment’s 14-block map of destinations, hosting US premieres of international multimedia artists, regional visual art exhibitions, live music, theater and dance performances, film screenings, hands-on creative activities, and special crawl after dark attractions.

“Hey everybody. LeRoii here. As some of you know, about 5ish years ago, I found a pitbull running around the streets, broken chain attached to his collar, cigarette burns on his ass, and his ribs poppin out his sides. I took him home, fed him, and let him sleep in my bed. The next day, I took him to the vet. They gave him a 10% chance of surviving that week. Well, that week came and went. And so did the next. And the one after that. Now, he’s a big spoiled brat, and still my best friend.
Unfortunately, about a week ago, he jumped off of something a little too high while I was letting him run around at my mom’s house, and tore his CrCl (the doggie version of an ACL) and has been limping on it ever since.
The surgery he needs was estimated at $3,000 to $4,000 dollars. Needless to say, as a singer to a barely relevant hardcore band from the Ohio valley, that’s going to hurt me financially.
I don’t expect to hit that mark, but I’m going to do everything I can to. Thankfully, the vet clinic I’m going to allows a payment plan situation, so I will be able to handle it. However, I could really use some help.
I will be setting up some benefit shows for January, when the payment will start to kick in, and a GoFundMe page. Every penny we make off these shows/the GoFundMe campaign will go towards my pups surgery.
If for some reason, we end up making more money than needed, or if the estimate was exaggerated, then whatever the remaining balance is will be donated to a charity of YOUR choice (preferably for animals, but whatever has the most vote, wins).
Thank you…”
